Napoleon's Ottoman Campaign

  • There is no Napoleonic invasion of Portugal.
  • Napoleon's main goal is invading the Ottoman Empire, then Persia and taking British India by land.
  • Napoleon lures Russia to keep with French terms by promising them a partition of the Ottoman Empire. There's no invasion of Russia and they're not forced to join the Continental System.
  • The campaign against the Ottomans would begin in 1810.
  • The French invasion force assembles at Split (French Illyria). The army marches northeast taking Mostar and then flanks the Ottoman army at Sarajevo, impeding them to send forces towards Austria.
  • Russian forces smash through Podolia, Wallachia and Moldova taking Mangalia.
  • Napoleon turns south towards Podgorica and then Tirana. An Ottoman Army is decisively defeated at the gates of Montenegro. Napoleon divides his army in two after passing the Macedonian lakes, one moves east towards Ioannina and the rest southwest towards Tikala and Larissa.
  • The Russians invade Bulgaria from two fronts (Ruse, Pleven and Tarnovo; Varna, Shumen and Burgas). Both armies move forces to Plovdiv and then to Sofia.
  • The French Army then turns northwards and takes Thessaloniki, then Serres, Kavala and finally Alexandroupoli.
  • The Russian army at Sofia divides in two, one marches North towards Serbia, liberating it; and the other marching South towards Skopje and Bitola.
  • Napoleon divides his army again, one to the South towards Gallipoli, through the strait until Troad. The other turns North toward Adrianople and meets the Russians at Çorlu.
  • Marshal Dabout crosses the Dardanelles through Gallipolli but his invasion force gets stuck at Bursa.
  • Constantinople is besieged and finally taken by Russo-French forces. During the siege Greek citizens rebelled against their Turkish overlords.
  • Bulgaria is stablished as a Russian puppet. Serbia, Albania, Greece and Montenegro are formed as French protectorates.
  • Prussia declares war to France. Poland and remaining French forces under Bernadotte defeat the Prussians, but Bernadotte betrays the French and flees to Sweden.
  • After the fall of Constantinople the Ottoman Empire collapses. French forces move towards Adana with help of the Armenian population.
  • The French army moves towards Kurdistan. Napoleon proclaims a Kurdish Emirate and recruits cavalry there.
  • Napoleon promises the exiled Zand emperor in the Persian throne. Napoleon invades Persia, taking Teheran and then turning South towards Isfahan and Shiraz.
  • Las Persian forces are defeated at Bandar-Abbas. French forces cross the Strait of Hormus into Oman, taking Muscat from the British.
  • Napoleon sends Michel Ney to India in order to assist the Marathas against the Brits.
  • Napoleon retreats to Europe, leaving behind a Mesopotamian Mandate formed by Iraq, Khuzestan and Kuwait.
  • Ney takes Delhi and marches through the Ganges, then down to Orissa, Madras and Calcutta.
  • Ney turns back to Oman, where the Sultan asks him to pacifiy coastal outposts in Kenya. He dies in the fighting, but suceeds.
